Default 60% of all Porsche

Just read a blip that said '60% - amount of all Porsche-designed vehicles that are still on the road.'

Read it in a Dubai gadget magazine, 'Stuff', and not sure where they got their figures from.

Hmmmm..................maybe? That's got to be exceptional if it's true.

Speaking of which, wish my Porsche was still on the road. Been in the shop for 16 weeks because I told the mechanic to fix it in his spare time. Whoops!

Anway, promised me it would be ready by the end of the week but just called to say lightened flywheel I shipped in from the States doesn't fit. Arghhhhh!

It'll be going back together with the original flywheel. I can't wait any longer for a Fix! Will probably be pulling motor again in the near future to do Fab Speed headers and exhaust kit. Will lighten the flywheel then I guess.

Really, I would have thought that number was high. Of course, I have no idea, really, it's just that as much as we love these great cars, they just don't seem that exotic. I would have thought that there are 2 kinds of Porsche owners: those who understand, love and protect, and those who are poseurs and end up trashing their cars.

I would expect more than 60% of 911s to be on the road.

I would expect a lot less than 60% of 924/944s to be on the road.

It probably averages out to 60%.

It's a good number, but our family car is a MB G-Wagen, and 90% of them are still on the road, as I am told.

The old joke?

Ford Trucks: 90% made in the last decade are still on the road. The other 10% actually made it home.
