In my opinion that car is worth $0.00 dollars since it has a motor meister engine in it

lol, I understand motor meister rebuilts are a little bit of a touchy subject here... a.k.a. server crash upon search.

It's either this one or a 70,000 mile 83 sc.

too much money!.. I just recently sold my 83 SC for $12,500.. original paint, rebuilt gearbox, 115,000mi. You should be able to find one hell of a nice SC that does not have a questionable engine rebuild for $18K.

I have a ten foot pole. I wouldn't touch that car with it.

I have seen time capsule cars on ebay with ridiculously low mileage for mid $20's
Ditto comments of others on values. Although there is no question in my mind that now is the time to buy an SC, it is next in line to hit the appreciation curve...

edit: oh, and those seats are hideous!

Check out my 911SC for sale in the classifieds for 14k if you haven't committed to another one already. It's well sorted and mechanically is a peach.

I bought my `83 SC in 1997 . I still smile at the end of every therapeutic ride . For $18+k you can do much better. Your car is out there , be patient .

Well at least motor meiseter warns you with a big sticker right on the engine. Kinda like how ford circles the problem

Yikes! Very overpriced. You can see from the pics that the condition is not good at all (look at the spoiler picture). The spoiler is a turbo, not a Carrera. The seats look like they have covers on them. You can have a nice Carrera for that money. Keep looking!

John: Now that you've seen an SC that appears to be a bad joke (a gray-market one at that!), check out my red '82 coupe in the Rennlist classifieds (ad #95 today), it represents the other side of the spectrum. Feel free to pm me with any questions that you might have.

Thanks for all the input, guy's. I'm learning a lot here and will keep looking. I'll check out the classifieds here for a while like some of you have suggested.

Much obliged!
