Default Weissach edition deal

This listing appears to me to be one of the limited addition Weissach cars from 1980 and the seller does not know it. I know the reserve is set at 9k it might be a heck of a deal for a local.

Good luck letme know what you guys think.

NO affiliation with the seller whatsoever

Very interesting, it does appear to be a Weissach Edition. Although about half of them were Black Metallic, the only versions that I've ever seen were all Platinum Metallic. The Doric Gray interior and burgundy piping looks correct, but I can't testify to the carpet color. The car has severe road rash, needs a new dash, sunvisors, trunk carpet and some serious cleaning. It does have Carrera Tensioners, but the cylinder head stud issue could have a serious financial impact on its next owner. Also, the front valance (Carrera) looks really bad, and would have to be replaced with correct SC parts. Also, I can't put a finger on it, but the tail looks wrong - too big.

it also appears to have 16x7 and 8's not the 15's that were part of the Weissach.

Its just a heads up if someone was near by. I do believe they came in that metalic gray. The valance is clearly a carrera one.

Yep, Black Metallic looks like a very dark gray. The tail is really bugging me, I don't know why, maybe the color. Also, its gaps are terrible.

I've never been a fan of a tail on anything narrower than a turbo. I think they look too big-- but that thing is HUGE looking.

Would be a perfect project for me, out of room though ... for 9 grand a good deal if you do the work yourself. If the studs are good, your laughin' ..

Tail appears quite correct to me. The Weissachs came with the same first edition tail that was stock on the (US) '75 Carreras.

Those tails had the lid and tail as one common, GRP piece, which appears to be what this car has.
