And this is just the beginning....
How do I convince her not to spend $400 per day on an island villa when $400 per day could do so much for the 911? Every time I turn around I find out that the money I have earned is going to stupid stupid things when it should go to the car. This may sound way off topic, but the car has needs too.

Doug, didn't your wife pay off your car ? Doesn't it run like a top ? 400 bucks a night is a lot, but how many people get to have a view like the one in the picture ?
If you go, be gracious. If you stay, it must be more than fair.
IMO, the nookie potential alone would probably be worth 400 a day.

Looks awesome to me, time to suck it up, put the p-car 2nd, & live well!!!
Of course, you also need to do as I say, not as I do - I just dropped $5500 on the 911's trans rebuild, power clutch, oil lines, align & corner balance among other things, so Hawaii for the mrs. is now, um, a little less likely.

If I sold my car to take a trip I would not have any second thoughts.
If you only focus on material goods then your missing much.
But I think your doing just fine and can afford both.
$400 a nite is really not that much!
Besides, you gotta live somewhere!!!!!

I'm looking forward to this trip. That place is the first 3 days then it's off to the other side of the Island for 6 more days. I've come to grips with it with some of the advice I've gotten here about the 911. I also got to spend a little on the car. I should know in the next couple of days if my car is healthy or not. She's been having issues, but I'm trying not to let it get to me. I'll keep you updated on both issues. If it is what I think, it's gonna be quite the thread.

Guess I'm just lucky. I love ranch life but do not own one. Cowboys, horses, mules and the whole lifestyle, I find refreshing. So, three years ago my wife started riding and then bought a horse, not in that order. I'm thinking.........holy crap! is this for real? Does my life get any better? Yes.....our vactions consist of ranches in Arizona. Riding, hiking and chuck wagon....aaaaaahhhhhhhh.

If none of the other recommendations work, I would recommend spending all the money on the 911 before she has a shot at budgeting/scheduling a trip and then you are good to go.
Looks like a great place. I may have made a mistake by forwarding the link to my wife!
The car will be there when you get back and you'll have the excuse of her spending money on the trip.
