I already found half of my query on the Toyo website for RA1 Proxes: Camber : -2.5o to - 5.0o and Caster as much Positive as possible. Now I just need a good shop for old P-cars around here.

abe: Best place in SoCal, by a large margin, is West End Alignment (Darin Nishimura) in Gardena. (310) 808-9233. The good thing about Darin is he has a complete understanding of your suspension, and how changing one thing affects another. From what you're saying, it sounds like you might have a bent strut on the corner with too much negative camber. To try to "compensate" with the toe setting shows that your alignment guy really shouldn't be working on your car.

FYI: I drive from Bakersfield to West End to have Darin do my SC...

No experience with West End, but indeed, their name does keep popping up among those who "know" ...of which I make no claim Besides, if Pete gives it his endorsement ...

FWIW,
Another superb shop for your consideration is TRE Motorsports in N.Hollywood. Dave B. there really knows his stuff, as many in SoCal can attest (including myself), especially those who track their cars as he is very knowledgeable in that respect (he is highly respected among the POC and track-rat crowd ) . I love the corner balance and alignment they did on my SC Trackmeister.

On my 84 set at euro height I can get -1.25 neg in front and about -2.75 out back.

When you lower your car you automaticaly pick up neg camber.

If the front tires are wearing on the insides it would be to much neg camber but could also be you are set with some toe out. This makes the car turn in faster. If inclined, put a tape on the front and back of the front tire and see.

Alignment can change some with how much gas you have up front so when you take your car in, set the tank at half full. I have them put weight in my car or have me sit in it when done.

With excessive toe-in you will get one-way scuffing of the tires, across the treads. Negative camber should give you higher wear on the inside of those tires,--front and rear. (Mostly rear of course, due to weight back there).

Thanks Guys. I'm getting there. Will align next week and will hit the track again in December.

Taking a 911 to the track isn't abuse, it's simply exercise.

is that some kind of weird flex on a 15 year old thread ?

People buy cars for different reasons, there is nothing wrong if people choose not to track their cars. The real abuse is by people bullying/shaming others into tracking their cars when they are not comfortable. I have had Porsches for almost 30 years and i see it at get togethers all the time, especially by club members.

The first time someone said to me "you should take your car to the track" i responded with " you should go and ask for a TAX audit.. if everything goes perfect you have nothing to worry about !!! .. and how did it feel having a total stranger telling you what you should do ?? "
