Porsche Trivia Question--Made in ...
What month did Porsche drop the "made in West Germany" for the "made in Germany" on the door sticker? Anyone have a car from that era?

Since the wall fell in Oct 1989 I'm guessing that it would have been close to the end of 1989 when they 'unified' Germany and began to change things like that.

That is why I love this board, I had never even thought of this!!! I just went to garage and checked my 87 Cab. Made in West Germany!! Made me giggle. That's pretty cool, no?

From what I could find based on photos of VIN decals it appears that on the 911 it was somewhere around model year 1992 that "West Germany" was dropped from the decal. Here is an example from a 1992 964 with a build date of 9/91. I did find a VIN with a build date of April 91 that still had "West Germany" on the label.

Somewhere between 4/91 and 9/91 (affecting MY91/MY92). I'll keep searching!
Thanks!
