87 Carrera heater kaput forgot where jumper goes
ok, Ive done this before, my rear blower quit working, I lubed it and it worked for 3 months, now it quit.
I unplugged it until I can re-lube or go the wavey grainger replace method..
but can't get the footwell blowers working.
I know it is easy, I think a jumper wire somewhere on the drivers side engine bay?!
anyone remember? I think there was a diagram? or pic?

thanks guys.
I'm reading a bunch about the reed solder method and will check the mysterytrain route.
I thought I did it with out soldering.
Maybe there is an issue with the footwell blowers again (replaced in 2004) I will check them next.

Try whacking your blower relay with a screwdriver and see if it turns on then. I had to replace my blower relay. It's a cigarette pack shaped silver box on the fuse block back in the engine compartment on the left side under the plastic cover. I got the best deal from Hennessey Porsche in Atlanta.

The O.P. is bypassing the "reed switch" in the heater blower relay, in order to get the footwell blowers working without the heater blower motor (on top of the engine) running. This bypass is commonly done by guys who have "backdated" their 911 and/or eliminated the heater blower.
