911 left and right door locks differ?
Question, do the two door locks on a 1980 911SC operate differently?
The passenger side locks and unlocks using the **** and key at all times (door open or closed).
My drivers side lock only works when the door is closed. So I need to lock my drivers door with the key (I can't turn the **** and simply close the door).
Is this normal or does my drivers side have a problem?

Not an SC, but my '84 (last year before power locks) and my '68 both behave the same way. So being in the middle, I'd say it's normal.
And I'm okay with that...just means stupid (me) can't lock his keys in the car !
