Glad I'm not as old as Ron, I will be 69 within months and have three discs missing in my lower spine and one in my upper. While I enjoy my newer Porsche, my '83 SC track car is by far my pride and joy. Sometimes climbing out of the bucket seats is less than agile, the car is great and makes me feel young.

Your father will take off twenty years and gain a gigantic smile. By the way Ron's car is fantastic ...... but not a quick as my SC

The last time I saw Paul Newman drive at the 24 hours of Daytona it took two men to help/aid him up and out of the car.

But the point is that no one helped him when he was in it & 'on it'.

Yikes, I'm only missing two discs in my lower back, but the ones below T6 and C3 are all but gone. That's what good Recaro seats are for!

Surprised him today on my way to the Flyers Game with my youngest son. He didn't believe me and said, are you f-ing kidding me 100 times even though he doesn't swear.

He instantly got 10 years younger and is already calling me about mods. I could juuuuuuust make out a tear in his eye.

Now I just have to deal with my mom who said "If you got him that, I can't wait to see what you get the woman who carried you for 10 months."

So you did end up buying it!

Fantastic, Kevin. I hope your father enjoys it.

You can see him grinning to his toes. Tell your mother that her prsent is getting him out of the house. But jewelry will work too.

My dad graduated from the 84 to a 90 964 and then a 2014 Cayman S for his 75th. Thanks for the help in keeping him young.

I read this thread puzzling why somebody would have resurrected it after 6 years. Then I got to your post above. Great reason! Truly wonderful!!

This is definetley one of my favourite Reenlist threads ever. Great work guys.

I've been searching for a GP white 3.2 for a while. Wish i could go back to when this thread started when there was perhaps more availability of such cars.

Very very awesome. I doubt I'll be doing that well if I make it to that age (sometimes I think not).
