Thanks for the comments guys! Yea Whalebird, I have the tube sitting on my passenger seat! Will be putting it back on when they do the valve adjustment in a couple of days.
I tried to do as much research as I could regarding the 16x7's and different ppl say different things so guess i'll have to wait and see if fenders will have to be rolled or not.
Just ordered my Dunlop Direzzas DZ01 (205/50/R16) from Tirerack today so hopefully they'll be arriving shortly. Getting them shipped to Pt Roberts to save on shipping to BC.
Dont plan on selling the 15's! They are in awesome shape and i'll smack them back on when/if I sell the car.

205/50 or 55 all around should work. Certainly keep the 15s. I myself like the 15s with 205/60s all around.
May I suggest, at least for now, blocking off the big round "hole" coming off the driverside fanshroud behind/above the distrubutor - great big "coolant" leak. It would normally provide airflow for the heater fan located further forward and above in the engine compartment - driver side.
I think it's a good idea to investigate the injection system properly to make sure everything is working well. Yes, you may need a few things, but CIS injection is wicked reliable and will work for a LONG time without anything really.

Been a while since i've done an update...
So since the last round of photos, Mechanic wanted me to change the fuel distributor which would have cost me an arm and a leg so decided to get a 2nd opinion at another recommended porsche mechanic. He was able to lean the car out by making an adjustment to the Warm Up Regulator and I passed my emissions test! So now i'm just waiting on my collectors plates as it entitles me to much cheaper insurance.
I ordered and picked up a set of Direzza DZ101's from tirerack in the US and got it shipped to the border. Saved a few hundred rather than getting it sourced locally here in Vancouver.... went to get my wheels + tires fitted and balanced and chucked them on Barney.
After I released the jack, there was a slight bend in on the lip. Straightened that out with a few tools and to date, its been riding well without affecting the lip... so hopefully I wont have to roll the fenders or cut the lip.
Here are a few photos I took over the weekend. Just phone piccies.
Surprisingly the height is perfect. I haven't lowered it myself. Previous owner may have dropped it to euro height possibly but I'm not too sure? Measured 2 feet from the middle of the wheel arch. (front)

Yeah thx for the comments guys
Need to buff the paint on the passenger side of the car. Looks almost like a matt finish at the moment as its been neglected (other than a wash)
What do you guys recommend?> Just a polish and wax?

Wow your ride looks sweet!!! Yes a good polish will do the trick, read up on how to do it right. Don't be in a hurry the more time you take to do it the more shine you will get.

sorry, late to the party ---
CONGRATS!!
Wow, beautiful... what a great find!!! AMAZING looking car, you should be having trouble sleeping because you keep getting up to look out the window at it, pinching yourself!
RE:buffing, be careful not to "buff" it worse than it is... I have a Griot's random orbital, its pretty idiot proof (which is good for me)... I had really good luck with starting with a clay bar, then going thru the polishes 1-2-3 and then about 3 coats of the best of show... i am not a huge griot's fan but its pretty good system. i also have the Ziano which did magic on the black car. At this point it just needs time and work to bring it back...be careful and keep it clean....it might take several days to do but will be worth it
again, welcome and congrats!

Fantastic if time allows keep the crew posted on your efforts. While mine is on the other end of the 70's I'm really digging this time period. The other day a gt2 ran me down and we had a nice chat. Its a fun marque to drive

Looks like you could use a little negative camber on those rear wheels. It will handle better and give you a little more fender clearance as well. I love the understated elegance of the midyear cars and that color is fantastic!
