Listed the 86 Carrera for sale
After spending lots of time and even more dough getting this car 'just right', I've decided to focus on a different car. May be a 993. Time will tell.
Anyway, this is a super tight, excellent car. Have had - and am STILL having - a great time with it. Thoughts on the listing?

Thanks for any input.

Thanks for asking, but Montgomery was a bit south (30 miles or so) of the main storm, which devastated Tuscaloosa and then went on a rampage through Birmingham farther north, hit our area of Lake Martin, killing a couple in a neighborhood nearby.
Been said before, but nature's power is like nothing man can ever conceive, and its no wonder ancestors feared and so studied the heavens. Maybe we should take a lesson.
You see this stuff, and have even more reason to feel fortunate, spared, thankful.

I know, I am. Kinda do already. Other projects loom.
Thanks. Hey, doing what I can to move the market for the greater good! I added up some receipts today (car has an entire service history, catalogued) and this car has had thousands spent from me and previous for every little thing. Even if it goes high, it's a good buy.
Color was a big point for me. I have a couple black cars now, which look fabulous clean, yet a little dust and its like starting over. This color stays clean looking longer, plus is a little different. Gets lots of compliments.

You asked for comments on the lisiting - here goes:
I've never understood the concept of not revealing a reserve (or in your case the "buy it now" question you were asked). "I want to sell my car, and I have a minimum I will take, but I am not going to tell anyone what I want for it - you have to guess."
Using a reserve to protect your interest does makes sense, but not revealing it doesn't. In the end it doesn't matter if you reveal it or not - you either have serious buyer or you don't. A serious buyer evaluates the purchase and the value (or lack of) based on the selling price that will get the transaction done. If he doesn't know, then he has to question if you are a serious seller.
Watch eBay enough and you see time and time again cars re-listed that "sold" a week before but the deal never got finalized.
The eBay system will bid it up in small increments. It's not like you will get 2 competing bidders suddenly jumping $5k over your reserve and you making a windfall profit by keeping it a secret.
Good luck with the auction.
