Thanks for your nice words

We spaniards are lucky people. Our country offers an excellent climate conditions.
Alicante is a beauty city.

Josep is a fortunate man. He lives there, but due to his job he often has to travel around the world.

I am one of those who like to learn from clever people. Clever persons have a lot of to show, and Josep is someone to learn from.

The way he manages Black's restoration is a reflection of how he works to achieve in search of excellence in his proffesion.

I'm anxious to see the car finished. And It's a proud for us spaniards to have someone who shares it with us.

I'm posting Josep's comment:

'Hi guys! The new 15" Fuchs rims are back, after the polish and paintjob. It's not an easy task, due to some difficulties as polishing end corners with the machine.
You ought to achieve to bare aluminum and follow polishing...

Just finished they look glossy, but going by time they get matt finish... pure materials!

I love them!

Look at the wheels... we can admire them now
By the way, I couldn't resist the temptation to dress Black with one wheel'

CLOSE UPS!!

We wish to get the first assembling task finished next week
After that, tires/rims test will be made and then, go back to the cabin, paint...

Here you can see the different gravel protection coats in grey or black color, underbody, interior, ...

Josep emphasized to restore each little part able to be recovered, trying to evoque early design, and obtain a vintage golden plated look.

Some more pics of the fantastic Fuchs rims!! What a great job they did!!
Josep is love with them...

Juan,
Thank you. All those pictures are a trip down memory lane for me. I did them all with my 356 Roadster, carefully choosing the right people to do all the various specialties. It was supposed to be a "less than one year" restoration. 3 1/2 years later it was finished, and the car was gorgeous. BUT that turned out to be a two edged sword. I was too emotionally involved in the car, and couldn't drive it comfortably. I hope Josep does not fall into that trap.

After about three months of playing with the car very carefully, I put it up for sale. It sold immediately, and I have moved on to my '89 Targa which I love, but not TOO much.

As your conductor knows, you can't rush a symphony. I will be very interested to find out how long your restoration actually takes.

Josep words:

After this 'lifting' I'm very excited looking at this work of art... besides there are little improvements that I'm anxious to feel...

More news:

Here you can see the exterior color samples. They are the same paint codes from Porsche AG response about the Silver 1.

The differences are: they were made from 2 Paint manufacturers: SIKKENS and GLASURIT!!

Pictures showed by Josep of both paint brands with different light:

Going on!!!!!
