Question Engine swap-204 engine into 180hp 911 SC

Hi,

Need to do work to my 180bhp SC engine.

Can you swap the early 911sc 180bhp engine for the later model which has 204bhp engine? This seems to be about the same cost as just getting my 180 engine repaired.

are there any ancillary parts that need to be replaced so the engines can be swapped?

Thanks for any help
Tim

Are you referring to the '82-'83 3.0L??

If so, yes, it's a direct changeout...considering you have the intake/CIS setup for the later 3.0L as the intake runners, heads and CIX airbox have different sized ports...also the fuel dist. and warmup regulator are different for the later 3.0L

Those things considered, and present...will make for an EASY changeout.
