Headlight High Beams stuck on
I somehow managed on my drive back to Maine to switch from low to high beams only to have them never return to low unless I manually hold the stalk back. I read a previous thread that mainly advised to worry about the problem when you upgrade to a 930/Momo type of steering wheel. But no mention of what needs to be fixed and/or purchased and if a Bonehead like me can actually fix it myself. I once again throw myself on the mercy of the Forum! Thanks

I have a some what similar issue with my headlights on occasion, the issue I think stems from the signal switch. It is just one of those things that wears over time. There are some fixes for them I have seen on threads here. Some times a good air blow and some electrical contact cleaner can solve the problem. Some times you just have to replace the unit. Play with cleaning it a bit and see where you get.

To change the piece I believe so, to clean it I dident, i just used an air compressor to blow some air in to it and get the dust out, Also used some electrical contact cleaner spray then another air blow to flush it all.

You can take the top and bottom cover off to get upclose and personal. If you can use some Wurth contact cleaner.
Steve at Rennsport sells it.

Three Wheelin'
I had the same problem. I tried to use a pick to seperate the contact points in my signal switch, but it was no good for me. To replace, You have to remove the upper and lower steering wheel covers and your steering wheel.

Next, remove the horn contact and pull the plug on the signal switch. It took some time, but I was able to manage. Pelican had the switch for 140 or so. Careful on the wheel reinstall, I was off one "tooth" and had to adjust, it will bug you not being straight.

I replaced mine two years ago and it is already doing this.... Every time the turn signal self cancels, the high beams come on.
I can turn if off by pulling the lever back a bit but often forget.

Mine just starting acting up yesterday...realized my brights were on but the switch was in the low beam position...jiggled it some and it returned to low...Pelican has it for 133.25, Automotion for 129.99, and Suncoast Porsche for 133. Checking with my local independent before ordering. Been wanting to replace my upper and lower covers due to some cracks so this sounds like the right time to replace all three. Porsche parts for Christmas...best gifts ever!

I have the VERY same sheeit going on presently! I installed the relay package during the first year of ownership....NOW,..it's quite clear that the stalk switch is to fault,...hopefully a good cleaning and bending of contact arms will resolve the issue.
Best!

Tim,
Do a search here on RL and on Pelican - there are some good posts out there on this since it's a common problem.
I fixed mine earlier this year - removed the steering wheel for easier access, then I just bent the high beam switch/spring a little bit so it's not touching the low beam switch all the time. You'll understand after you review some of the old posts and check out the pics. I have pics as well if you need them.
(Edit) At the same time I installed the recommended headlight relay kit to decrease the amount of current running through the high beam/turn signal switch.
