whale tail delete

I had a chance to drive my 87 Targa with whale tail at 80-90mph for the first time last week and was really impressed with how stable and planted the car felt at that speed. More so than my 997.1 (non-aero) at the same speed. Initially I wasn't crazy about the looks of it, but it's really grown on me over the last couple months and now I love it. Even the way it "dates" the car. If i need a modern water cooled fix, I jump in my 997. I'm so convinced that part of me is even considering adding a full aero package on the 997!

In a heavy crosswind, a tail seems to help at speeds above 80 or 90. Otherwise somewhere above 100. You don't ever really notice you have a tail so much as you may someday notice that you don't have one, and the car feels squirrely.

Just watched the Singer vid. Wow...
That tail is awesome (I know, like the rest of the car isn't?). It would look killer on my 964! Does anyone if its available (without the rest of the car)?
