Default 1986 RUF 911 - Confirmation & Value

I am potentially buying a 1986 RUF 911. I'm not 100% sure if the car is legitimately a RUF model. Does anyone know how to tell? Also, can someone also give me an estimated value on this car is fair condition? Thanks everyone, I will really appreciate any feedback.

Nothing about that looks like a Ruf. I also doubt anyone is stupid enough to treat a Ruf like that. But, what do I know-I'm no expert?

Call Ruf, they assign their own VINs.

Only the badge is RUF, nothing else.

I may be wrong, but I don't think so. No Ruff car carried both the Carrera and Ruff badges. Also, Ruff cars had Ruff gauges. If I were you, I'd run away very fast.

I would call that "rough" not Ruf.

Is that speedo correct for an 86? Mine does not have the circle below the numbers.

I believe that 86's should have the white circle on the speedo. The circle was not on '87 and later cars.

make an offer after a leak down and proper PPI...might just be the pics but that car looks ruff and might not have had the care that equates to longevity.

Therein lies the question: does the OP think it's a Ruf, 'cuz it has a badge, or is the owner trying to pass it off as one?

$13k is too high for this particular car.
