Default Brake caliper problem

One of PO’s of my car changed the rear brakes to Carrera size and replaced the calipers with Ate brand. I have had a problem damaging dust boots on the caliper pistons when using Hawk Blue pads for the track. Recently I determined that the dust boots make contact with the hub portion of the Zimmerman rotors after the pads wear by a small amount (2-3 mm). The rotor centre hubs have a slightly larger diameter near the rotor face, which is too close to the piston’s travel to allow room for the dust boot. Has anyone else seen this problem and found a fix, other than replacing the calipers with OEM? That’s an expensive fix, at $310 per caliper.
