1973 911T Find and Rescue
#46
Finally got done with the sorting and cleaning of this 1973 911T find, and it saw the light of day for a few pictures today after a few months of being in the garage. Thought I would share some for those interested with this thread:

Continuing on with the 911T to start it up. Just drained the oil and took some pictures along the way which I thought to share. No metal debris found anywhere and all looks good inside the crank case.

Also wrestled the fuel pump from its hiding place. Would like to just change it out, but gosh it is expensive. Might just remove it, put power to it and see if it flows as it should.
Any recommendations for replacements if I need a new one?

Rescued 911T going to a new home!
Well this rescue is finally going to a very good home.
Can't wait to see it's transformation since the work will be done just a few hours south of us.
Engine was not started since the new owner will have the engine rebuilt properly, as we had hoped.
It really feels rewarding getting this special 911T back into the Porsche world to be enjoyed again.
Thanks everyone,

That over spray I tell you what...
"My name is Earl Scheib and I'll paint any car any color for $199.99"
Remember 'em commercials?
What a shame too, should have just left it original in retrospect - but c'mon that's all 20/20...
How many miles on the clock?
Just irks me that folks can't take some time and PRIDE on a respay. Otherwise I would have tried to get it running, remove evidence of critters then pass it along and make a profit. Bummer it wasn't a 72 with the Gas filler door, I mean Oil filler door! Now that would have been a find.
