Default FabSpeed

I just wanted to share my experience with FabSpeed. I ordered an exhaust from them last week and they honored the RL discount. I receive the package in no time at all, so I was looking for a good time to install it but it would be a few days before I could. So finely found the time to drop the stocker and when I started assembling the new exhaust I realized that they had sent me the wrong one (Damn it!), my car was in pieces and I didn't really want to throw the stocker back on. I called FabSpeed first thing in the am and emailed them a picture of what they had shipped, to my surprise the first email response was a FedEx shipping conformation stating that my shipment will be there by noon the next day (saturday) with a return label. Everything worked out and just wanted to let everyone know what a solid company FabSpeed is, not to mention the quality, fit and finish of the exhaust is second to none.

I'll add my 2c... I ordered a Fabspeed supercup muffler for my 86 carrera a few months back and the stainless mounting bracket they sent was really nice with a stylistic "911" cut out, but unfortunately it was made to fit an SC. I called them up and they sent me the correct bracket pretty quick, not next day, but I think they actually had to make the bracket.

Anyway, love the exhaust. It looks extremely well made, the welds are all perfect and the fit is great. It's really freaking loud, easily manageable enough to not attract attention or **** off neighbors but if I floor it holy crap it screams like a hot rod with straight pipes. I was kinda expecting that though since it's not so much a "muffler" as it is simply a straight pipe with a couple small resonator chambers. I run a premuffler too which adds a 3rd resonator, but if I just had a test pipe instead it might be ludicrously loud.

Which one did you get RayRay?

My experience was different. The thermo-form that they sell for $190 more than it is worth makes better repro than an airbox cover.

Mine would not clasp properly and had to be wrapped with tape to stay on. This guy had even worse fitment issues:

I am glad that we were able to get you squared away and get you the right muffler ASAP. Unfortunately no amount of protocol and procedures in place can prevent mistakes from happening, and I promise, every company out there has made mistakes. The difference comes in how the situation gets handled. The best thing to do is to reach out to us directly so that we have a chance to rectify the situation and set the proper steps in motion right away.

My sport pre-muffler/cat delete fits perfect, mounting hardware etc all great. Sound with M&K single in/out muffler just what I needed.

have just installed maxflow exhaust, cat bypass and chip and man the 84 has been tranformed - its sounds wonderful and the extra horses are certainly there.

No complaints - arrived on time, everything in the box fitted correctly,
One happy customer.

Hi Hunter, Can you show me the brackets they sent you? I got mine (Supercups) last year and the brackets never worked and never bothered to call nor return it. Mine have custom straps only. I am interested to see how yours look like. Oh by the way I love the sound even better with the airbox modified. You hear a duet of the airbox and the Supercup sound at 4500rpm

I won't even go into how Fabspeed screwed me over about 5 years ago. I hope you enjoy their parts. Based upon my experience, no one I run with will even consider buying the substandard parts Disgruntled customer in Texas.

That's more in line with what I experienced.
