Default 993 TT vs 2015 GT 3

I am seeking some feedback from fellow enthusiast as to what would be a better long term investment. A 1997- 993 TT (6 speed) with less that 30K miles or a 2015 (PDK) GT 3. Appreciate your comments. Thanks

Cars are rarely a good investment; even when they are, you have to keep the mileage very low, which means not driving it much. And, what fun is that? That being said, the air/oil cooled 993 TT will likely hold/increase its value better than the 2015 GT3.

The 993. But a good RS America, or any outstanding example of a 964, will probably do even better.

I think the 911 and 993 will do much better than the 964 as far as collect-ability status value. the 993 turbo-s is already going for crazy money now.

Just to answer the Question per the posted Title. Simple, the 993 Turbo by a BUNCH. Talking on orders or Magnitude a better investment. And if you are lucky enough to work in a 993 Turbo S into the equation; that is even better.

I would say, buy one of the Turbo's now, then wait and pick un 991 GT3 second and drive the hell out of it.

I would look at the 993 C2S or a 993 Turbo S as the better investments. I agree that any limited versions of the 964 would also be a good investment.

If I were looking for a later car to invest in, I would choose the 997 GT3 RS over the 991.

Thanks folks, I purchased a 1997- 993 (BLACK/BLACK) TT just yesterday! Turbo S was out of the price range at the moment. Thanks again

Excellent choice! Drive it, don't store it.
