Quick poll: Tach orientation
How do you have your tach oriented? Is it factory, redline at 12 o'clock it someway else?
I have mine with redone with the redline straight up.

On SC-Carrara, the tach just slips into the dash with a rubber grommet. Just pull it out and orient it anyway you want.
On my race car I twisted the tach to have 7K at exactly 12:00. Just easier to read out of peripheral vision.

Yep, when you are frantically gathering all available info as fast as possible it really does help. My fuel cut off is way passed the factory redline (can't recall the actual number) and at the rate the RPM's are climbing, I've gotta set that visual shift reminder at 12:00 or I'm at fuel cut off before I manage to let off and shift.

I was the same way until I started tracking it. Easy to see the straight up position without actually "looking" at the tach. I also rotated the speedo so I could see 40-100 MPH through my Dino steering.

Like the picture of your car. Nice wheel lift! What size torsion bars are you running? My 86 Targa has 23/30s.
