last year I found a great '87 G50 carrera for sale, decided it would make a great 3-seasons car, then, I found a 964 that tickled my fancy. So, now, the g50 needs to go.
110,000 miles
Previous owner had it for 8 years, had it repainted well, but that was 6 years ago. It still looks great, but isn't perfect. Mechanically, I JUST put brand new WEVO motor and trans mounts into it, and CV joints. Previous owner said he had just done a valve adjustment and tune up, also said he did a clutch and other bits 'a few years' ago.
No service history beyond that.
it has no evidence of ANY body damage ever, shut lines are perfect, all stickers and tags are still in place.
it has a chip, b&b headers (with heat) and exhaust and an upgraded air meter, it drives really well. It is very fast and tight.
Sunroof, power windows, all accessories work just fine, modern Pioneer radio with bluetooth and USB inputs, new door speakers....A/C belt disconnected by previous owner, but all the pieces are there.
It isn't perfect, and the price reflects that. The seats are pretty stiff, and I believe it will need a clutch, but, as I said, the price reflects this. It has some great summer tires on it, but the fuchs are fake....they do look good, however (16x7's and 8's)
a couple small spots of oil after a long drive, and a small puff of smoke on cold startup...don't they all do that? Every air cooled car I've owned has been similar.
I'm asking $26,000 for the car. If someone is willing to make a quick, CASH purchase, I'll do $24,000....but not a penny less. No tire kickers.
I'm 10 miles north of the george washington bridge, 10 miles south of the tappan zee....easy pick up from anywhere in the northeast.
