Default Monoballs

stopped by at Elephant Racing a few days ago and got myself a pair of monoball cartridges. Installed them today and did a test drive. Steering feels a little lighter, I did not enough hard corners today to fully feel the difference. But everythings seems very thight and precise on the frontend. Weather was crappy and so was then the resulting video on the drive. I have plastic bushings in the A-arms and so the car is already pretty harsh, the monoballs did not make anything worse. I think there is a little more high frequency vibration on the freeway coasting along but I try to avoid this kind of driving anyway.

Glad you are feeling the enhanced precision. The monoballs can make the steering feel lighter as you observed. They also make the strut inserts function better because the eliminated rubber bushing is an un-damped spring the mutes the damping action of the insert.

have any installed pics? With the 350mm steering on slow speed, will this help lightening the steering?

Ferdinand,

actually there is not very much to see when installed. Attached the picture anyway. I have a 320mm wheel, so a little hard to compare. I would think however, while the steering is lighter, it is just a hair better, not like relieving you from using force when getting into a parking spot or so.
