Hi, I'm getting an itch to build a backdate from an older 930. Has anyone seen a ducktail that will fit on the 930s? I'm assuming not for later versions with the intercooler. But, how about early 930s?

I just saw a ducktail over an intercooler somewhere on Rennlist or Pelican yesterday. I may be able to go back in my history and find it. I was surprised that you could hide an intercooler under that tail but the pictures showed it somewhat clearly.

it’s a sexy car, I was going to buy it but ultimately went for an unmolested 79 930 turbo. I just know myself well enough that I like the clean stock cars with no stories.

You can squeeze a custom intercooler under a ducktail. There was an Excellence article years ago about a guy who did so. He has since sold the car. But I run into him at a local monthly P-car cars and coffee here in LA. I'll ask him which issue and any other details you want to know. We get together next Sunday.
