New Rennlister with pics 79 930T
Well after owning this guards red 79 930T for 8 years now, I stumbled upon the renn just two months ago... WOW! A veritable plethora of porsche information at your fingertips and many other junkies with the same obsession! I finally got my member number and have attached some pics for your viewing pleasure. Feedback and wisecracks are welcome!
Thanks

I've been busy!! Naw really though, no excuse. Traveling with the wife and kiddies, actually working, and looking for a 928 to add to the stable. Thanks.

Brian,
Sweet car and I love the color - but wait until you come over to the "Dark Side" - she will stay in the garage a lot.
Welcome,
Roger

thanks for the warm welcome all. no mods on the red rocket except aftermarket hifi goodies. i did replace the tranny, clutch,PP and fly from vertex auto, 60k service with tune up, brake pads, turned rotors, and a few switches and such.
that yeller one in the garage is my first car... 1966 Chevelle Malibu. Finished the second restoration last week. Parents bought it in 1966, i got it in 1981 and restored it (it was black), and over the years got a bit beat up. Now back to factory fresh and close to stock (some engine mods for more hp- 327ci 275hp now about 300hp). great cruiser for the wife and kiddies, although my daughters still love the red rocket best!
i have driven two other modded 930T's (k-27, kokeln ic, exhaust, etc), a 1985 and a 1986. Much faster of course! Was itching to buy the 86 but it had a syncro/gear issue in 3rd and was not nearly as clean as mine. At 36k i couldnt justify it. Now the plan is to keep my red one and add a 928 to the collection. Roger Tyson (ROG100) has a black 89 S4 that I'll be buying in a few weeks. Then who knows, a 944T and maybe a newer 993 or 996 car!
The 930 has been such a fantastic car. Upkeep has been very tolerable and it drives so darn nice! Looks and feels tight, just a pleasure every time i get behind the wheel.
life begins at 3500 rpm...... whoooossssh! grin!
