Default HyFlow S install..

What have you guys done to install the HyFlow S with the 3'' inlet? Did you use a 2 3/4'' silicone hose and stretch it over the 3'' inlet, use an 2 3/4'' to 3'' reducer, go with a later model set up or fab up what you needed from tubes and hoses to make a straighter shot?

This is going on a engine with the Kokeln and C2 bypass valve as well.

Use a new hose/adapter, the hoses are almost impossible to stretch. And if you can stretch them, you probably don't want them on your car. I order my hoses here.

I fabricated a new inlet pipe. I bought the tightest 3" aluminum bend I could find and I still had to cut and weld it in a couple places to get a tighter bend.

1/4 of an inch doesn't seem like a lot until your trying to install it I guess. I saw that Turbohoses had a 2 3/4'' to 3'' transition. Is the cold side really 3'' OD? If it is, I might order one now. My Hyflow won't be here until next week to check.

Looks good David!

I doubled up hoses. That is, on the turbo inlet I have a 3 inch hose attached. On the upstream end of the 3 inch hose, I slipped a 2.75 inch ring of hose inside it so it would fit back onto the aluminum downpipe.

I believe the intake OD on my HF2 is 3-1/8". Here's a pic of a HF2 and HFS. They look like they have about the same OD. FYI, the HFS intake is about 59mm and the HF2 intake is about 65mm.

It looks like the intake for the HFS matches the ID of the stock inlet pipe so you're good to go once you get the coupler figured out.

Miles has the right idea. If your coupler is soft then simply place in some boiling water and stretch it on, it is fine. If it is hard as a rock then call me. I have the hose that will fit.
