Princeton's car. Truly bad ***. He is an engineering student who taught himself to weld and machined most of his own one - off parts. Much information on the pelican board.

I kinda like it. Kinda.

Things I don't like: mirrors, dash, turbo oil sump lines, turbo air intakes, IC placements.

Things I like: body styling and stance, most of the interior, intake manifolds.

Pretty cool and different.

Really nice. The groovy rice steering wheel has got to go, though.

Wouldn't the turbos be better nearer the engine ?

I think the turbo's are pretty close to the engine. He used Burn's Stainless tubing and collectors for the equal length headers. Very nice pieces.

FYI, Princeton's project has taken about as long as mine, so there.

I'm sure its an accomplished engineering project, but its not pure enough 911. Doesn't do it for me. Give me a well groomed 930 or 965 anytime.

I don't know, I'm pretty impressed with it myself. Lots of planning, work and detail in this car. Kind of a 911 on 956/962 steroids. I like the electronic dash and coincidently I'm putting that same wheel in my car (if it ever comes in from backorder!) I even like the no-whale-tail look when its stopped. The fenders are very GT-3-ish, and the hood appears to have a GT-3-like sticker on it for the logo versus the usual hood badge. I think I give a 10!.....Jim P.

Like it or not, I definitely can appreciate the work that's gone into it. Come on guys, how many hours have you spent just to fabricate that one off aluminum bracket for whatyamacallit? How many trips to the hardware store just to find the right connector for that thingamajig? How much money did you spend for that special tool which you'll only use once? And this guy fabricated it all on his own?

I've seen lots of pics of his hand fabs and was always impressed with his patience and ingenuity.

its a one of kind for sure.
The engine is a masterpeice... and he did it himself!

How is the car going to handle without the rear spoiler and the huge front splitter?... I would miss the rear spoiler tho...

The rear spoiler, unless its raised to the rear-window level, is really almost blocked from seeing any airflow over it by the roof. It has a minimal impact on down-force at most speeds we can reasonably drive on the street. I will admit however, I don't know what its really doing to control the turbulence behind the car and managing the airflow off the back end. We ran very limited tests in my old IMSA days on the tails primarily using yarn tuffs, different color and viscosity oils, and track dirt "smears" from running in the rain. I will also agree that the deep splitter on the front might impact balance front to rear. The rear engine gives you most of the traction in the back under power. The car squats in the rear as you come through the turn pushing the rear tires into the pavement and changing the cars handling from oversteer to understeer as it takes the weight off the front ones. So I actually believe as long as you can package everything under the rear w/o the tail, you're just missing aethetics and not much real performance.
