Gabe when are you going to be in North Carolina? I fly down on saturday to pick up my toy as well. I'd happily hang around for a bit if I was going to be able to meet up with you guys.

jim torres????? you out there, anywhere???
I would LOVE to hear Jim Torres real, uncensored comments about this machine....LOVE to hear them! Jim, feel free to comment by p.m. if you find necessary. We know eachother thru mutual friends from way back, so, please, shoot away.
I am looking for comments from Jim b/c I respect him to be the most trustworthy and educated authority on the subject of Porsches from that era.

Yes Jim is a great guy - had talked to him at length concerning the wheels when I purchased them over on Pelican awhile back. He's a wealth of knowledge - and his opinion would be great .

Thanks for the info Petri - I looked at your photoshopped pictues and I do have to say your car is looking very, very sweet.
The numbers are insane, and yes I agree with you that in the end after I drive this car, no other will be able to excite me in such a way
Keep me posted on that diffuser! And I'll have to post my speeds per gear when I pick up the car
For now we have a minor update to the tune of starting the car, I asked Fred to set me up with a few different switches so that I could disable the electrical and fuel systems from either side of the column in case of a roll over or really bad accident where I couldn't get out of the car:
First switch is for battery power to ignition & overall power
Second switch is to activate fuel pumps 1 & 2
Third switch is for Fan 1 (also thermostaticaly controlled but I do have ability to override and turn on sooner)
Fourth switch is for Fan 2(also thermostaticaly controlled but I do have ability to override and turn on sooner)
Here's the GT3 in Alcantara with the Schroth Profi III 6 point harness with contoured thigh straps & camlock release mounted to the Brey Krause unit. Stock seat belt mounting/routing holes have been retailed in the rear panels in case I want to use stock style belts in future.

Happy Tday Rob
Okay the following pics show the car almost done, the rear brakes aren't on and we're rethinking the brake setup we started with. The rear deck isn't closed all the way so that's where there are gaps above the reflector panel.
The body guys were making some touch ups and minor cosmetic work when I was there, we were working on mirror placement etc.
The project won't be completed until February or so, but I'll keep everyone posted on the brake issues and what we end up going with.
But for now, please enjoy the pics...
