Default 930 questions

I am looking to purchase a 930 and have a few questions. I would much prefer a 5 speed like in a '89 but it seems the '89 930s bring a lot more money. Is there any other reason to buy an '89 other than the 5 speed? If not, how difficult is it to install a 5 speed in say an '86, '87 or '88? Or perhaps the question is there any other year of 930 that would make it easier to install a 5 speed?
Next question is can anyone put me in a range of the cost to twin plug and engine and also to upgrade the fuel injection?

I have an 87 w/ the 5 speed conversion and was told it would cost anywhere between $10-$12,000 to do today.

Put you in the range of the cost to twin plug an engine and add EFI....

Plus adding a 5 speed?

You could spend more than twenty grand doing those three items. Or less if you do everything yourself, like drilling the twin plug holes into your cyclinder heads. Tuning the EFI software yourself for hours on end. Install your own 5 speed tranny that you rebuilt on your own.

You really need to just buy a car with the EFI and twin plugs built in already if you want that stuff.

+1 Let someone else pay for it and take the depreciation.
