Default 930 for 22k good deal?

Looking at this 930. From my limited knowledge this seems like a good deal? The main problem is that this is not the original engine but its making 500+ hp after fresh rebuild. What do you guys think? maybe I"m missing something...

That motor, if built correctly (and if truly fresh) is worth $15-20k.

The car is basically free !

For less than the price of a honda Accord, I'd chance it.

I'll agree with Chuck but you want to be really sure motor was correctly done and you want a hot rodded 930.

Talk to the guys on Pelican. He's done a lot of work on the car and that's a steal.

certainly has the right parts list... Something tells me it would be a ton of fun with 10K additional invested.

There are so many deals on 930's and 996 turbo's now...its crazy (and sad for a guy trying to sell). Make sure you get a leak down and i would have it put on a dyno to check A/F ratio, alot are tuned lean to make max HP and they don't last.

I would buy it in a heartbeat, but do at least have a PPI done and leakdown. Another 150 horses beyond what I'm currently running is awfully tempting, and I've got a boat load more than 22K invested in my ride.

The seller is well known, a very good technical contribuitor on Pelican Parts and well respected, he built the car and knows every nut and bolt and where every dollar was spent, so it would be someone I would buy a car from. No hidden agendas with his car...amazing deal. Spending over $15K on a proper engine rebuild on these cars is VERY easy.

I know the guy and know the car and motor...was trying to buy the motor from him a year and a half ago when it was just parts....

If you have the patience and $ to get it tuned, which isn't much compared to what has been put into it, trick out the suspension and treat the interior to what it needs to be for this caliber of car, and you have yourself a steal.

Keep in mind, speed is addictive.....
