Considering the mileage (54K mi), and the amount they are charging for other cars, $40K seems to be a low price.
Does anyone know of any issues with this car (besides the fact that it's been resprayed). Is "Candy Apple Red" a factory color?
I am thinking of driving down there to check it out, but I don't want to waste a day of my employer's time :-)

I have seen this car for sale for quite a while. Unless I am mistaking for 6-9 months as I was on the hunt for a 930 for several years...so not sure what that means?
Candy Apple Red is a good color for a 57 Chevy Belair popular with hotrodders in the 80's, but not on a 930 - just IMHO - don't think it is factory color...
I have never seen seats like that either...it looks custom.
The picture that shows the area around windshield washer nozzle -- looks like bad paint job? Or Bondo? Or poor surface prep?...
Just IMO -- may still be a cool car...

Oh my ........ where does one start ?
Incorrect wheels
Incorrect paint color (as already mentioned)
Horrible body work and paint prep !
Damaged driving light bracket (left side)
Damaged front bumper (left side) - judging by the misaligned rubber above and around the amber lense, the bumper appears to be shoved back
Incorrect third brake light (ET style) which is '87 model year only
Incorrect exhaust
Incorrect headers
Incorrect intake & air filter (although easy to fix)
Incorrect aftermarket Intercooler (although easy to fix)
Incorrect aftermarket door speakers (as big as a mini-fridge)
Incorrect shifter
Incorrect pedals
Incorrect radio/stereo
Damaged dash (very very warped along bottom of windshield) Photo #22
Incorrect window tint ( easy to remove bt still wrong)
Overspray on stupid things (amateur or sloppy - neither acceptable)
Ashtray lip is ratty looking which typically means previous smoker
No [B]sport seats
Incorrect Shock tower brace
Damaged tool kit ( tools missing and VERY corroded - salt air maybe?)
Damaged floors in all four corners ( caused by inexperienced or careless mechanics)
Damaged front spoiler (too many parking curbs)
I'm sure that there are probably many other inconsistancies seen in person, these are all that I could see from these small photos.

Waste your employers time on another car. Listen to Baron the car is a figurative (probably literally too) wreck! No need to see it in person. If you're in the market for an original 76-79 930 you must be patient and willing to buy quickly. That means know what you're buying. Study the car and know what an original example should look like. Dont buy the cheapest car, or the lowest mileage car, buy a quality original example. Yes its easier said then done..But persistance and hard work can pay dividens, good luck.

Most of these cars will need something; they are 30 plus years old (mine is 35). It is very unlikely that you will be able to buy any 930 and not have to break out the wallet. It all depends on how far you want to go, and the size of your bank account. Good advice given above. Take your time. If you find one that has issues, and you feel it is still a good car overall, buy it for a song, you'll need the funds later.

If I had Room, I'd PPI this Car & buy it, have no Idea Who's it is, but if it checked out, it looks like a well built little Rocket.

How on earth can one expect the rest of this car to be in great shape when they left such a poor job on the area around the windshield wiper nozzle? This is a HUGE red flag IMO......this is probably just one of many reasons its still available at offered price.

Here is another, a bit pricey though.

Also you might want to understand why the front end pieces (including an impact absorber) on Invoice 2567 were replaced in 2012.

I owned that car, it's very nice and has been discussed many times. There was no front end damage to car when I owned it. New owner completely went through car after I sold it to him, and it was damn nice when he bought it. So you can buy a nice 930 for less and spend $15k to make it perfect or save yourself the trouble and buy this one. The documentation is complete back to 84 if I remember.
