SC cam timing

Sorry to get into this. I am about to do engine rebuild on 83 , 930 turbo .. is (1.4-1.5 )is correct spec for cam timing ?

Yes, that spec.is what we used for factory 911 SC Cams in a 930. More importantly, though, is to get the timing on both sides as close to each as possible. Setting the cam timing to 1.4-1.5 mm merely moves the cams to a more advanced state which should provide a little more toque at lower RPM's. It's not a big gain, just a little. Your are safe with 1.4-1.7mm with the factory SC cams.

Hello all. I have a 930 in need of a engine rebuild. Can someone tell me the difference in using SC cams vs 964 cams? My car has a few free flow exhausts, cat bypass and headers.
