Default Plug Wire Opinions

Does anyone have an opinion on plug wires for the 914?

These will work. 7mm w/fiberglass center core (low/no noise) work just fine.

Nothing exotic is necessary, unless you're runnin' a nuclear-tipped coil and terra-pulse module.

Cool. I never was a believer in overly huge wires. I'll pick up the $25 set of beru or bosch wires.

Either of those will work, and make sure you DO NOT throw away the spark plug end of the old wires; they just screw off the leads.

Oftentimes, the replacement set's plug ends aren't long enough to reach (in some applications), so you re-use the previous set's ends. Also, it's almost impossible to find these without purchasing another set of VW-type wires; real good scrounge shelf items.

Well I know you already bought your wires But I like the Magnacore wires on my car. 8mm Electrosports. They use regular crimped and snap on connectors. Heavy rubber boots and really nice rubber gaskets to seal up tin holes. 25 bucks and the can handle mega volt coils and are still supression wires.

I'm pretty happy with what I got. The Bosch set is working well.
