black smoke at start up
WEll i've notice that my car's exhaust is a bit smelly. Its a 1973 914 with a carburated 1.7L and I've noticed that everytime at start up the car spits outs a nice puff of black smoke which stains the ground. My friend was driving behind me and said that he noticed a puff of black smoke everytime I would let off the throttle, to downshift for example.All I know is the car was sitting for a while when owned by the PO and I just got it with almost no info on it. Any ideas? I can replace parts but diagnosing is a different thing for me.
