BTW, that is a pre A coupe in the background with bent windshield and the old weird dash with big center opening. It's their next big project. I think the boys (two brothers) had fun working on such a "new" car!

Even though it was typical Iowa summer weather ( back from Az last week and I was used to the "dry" heat!!) I ventured out to the shop to look over the many bags of parts, and started to put back on some the interior trim pieces. THANK GOD I have the silver car sitting right next to the red one to use as a template!! In putting on the rollbar latches for the top, it came in very handy to remember how to install them and the little spring mechanism. The Vinylex is making most of it look brand new. Will post some pix of the interior when it is pretty much back together, but don't hold your breath!! It will be a while!

Well guys and gals, will be taking some time off from the project- recooperating from lower cervical fusion (bitch growing old...) and have to wear a cervical collar for 6-8 weeks. The donor site from the hip hurts more than the neck!! Kills me to sit around (which is hard for someone as active as I am) but want this heal!! Will do some of the low stress stuff when the body allows it...

Gonna probably do interior first, then lights, suspension, etc etc etc!!

I think doing those vent control cables in the front trunk was the worst thing I've ever done on a 914.
