Default 914 2.0 G engine value

I have had this engine in my basement for a few years now. It ran when it came out and has 88K on it and it is complete with everything. I don't plan on using it anytime soon and I am thinking about selling it. What is this bad boy worth? $1K-$1.5K? Less? More?

I'll give you twenty bucks for it...AND pay the shipping! Then you can clean your basement, and I'll have something to rebuild that's got more than 68 hp!

Maybe Brad can tell me what they are selling them for. If it is what I am thinking then I will keep it.

Tempting, but I think I might hold out for a Dunkin Donuts gift card too!

Done. I'll even throw in a Starbuck's gift card for good measure. Man, you drive a hard bargain.

After looking around I am only seeing 2 liters going for about a grand. I didn't pay much less then that 8-10 years ago, so I am going to sit on it a little longer. Thanks all for the help and teasing!

If Brad tells you what they sell them for you'd probably put it in a vault and start thinking your retirement was secured...
