I'm defecting over here from the 993 forum...

You can install a non-variram motor in the 914 without the need to butcher it much.....but that would have to be almost dangerous to drive, in my humble opinion.
In the end, its all about power to weight. So, figure it out. A 914 with a 3.6 non-varirm motor should be roughly as fast as a 993 with about 420 horsepower. Not sure what your TPC supercharger gets your varioram motor up to, but the two cars would be close.....except that the 914 will out handle your 993!

Better jump on a 914 if you want a good one............they're beginning to go up in price too (thankfully). My 75 ground up resto is almost done and I just jumped on a decent 71. There's a guy on my side of the country with 7 he's trying to liquidate, told him I'm in for 3 if he can guarantee 3 complete cars. Couple years they'll be crazy money!

I think I've come to terms with the reality that is... Since I sincerely want a 914, I need to sell off the supercharger kit from my 993, set aside another $8-10k cash and VOILA!... 993 AND 914 in garage. Who wants a TPC supercharger kit with intercooler and all electronics for their 993!?

What's the price on the SC? Here's another teaser pic. Taken today of my '75 ground up resto. First time since I bought it in '09 that I got to sit in it and hear it run. I also have a 71 and a 74 (future projects?), both are on the road (I drive them regularly).

This is what I'm thinking...
- $6k Shipped. Comes with the Unichip Q and T electronics modules, the dual additional injector manifold w/ injectors, the MY95 throttle body and intake boot elbow, the air/water intercooler w/ pump, resevoir and radiator... Includes everything (pulleys, belt, tensioner, mounts, etc.) except the heater duct (wasnt in the kit when I bought it). - I'd swap my drilled rear carrier for your un-drilled carrier as well... makes your install a bit easier
- $500 additional, I'll include the PLX modules (wideband w/ controller AFR module, Boost/Vacuum module and dual fluid temp module) and gauge (DM100 OBDII), and six p-n-p 60lb Siemens Deka high impedance injectors.
- $1500 for the custom "Juuso" p-n-p tunable ECU w/ 3bar map sensor.
- OR... $7500 for the everything, shipped in the 48 States.
I've definitely made the decision that I'd rather have a naturally aspirated 993 AND a 914 in the garage... than just my boosted 993. I havent posted this "for sale" info anywhere else. The kit is currently running on the car. I'm a busy guy but I have no issues with taking it off in a weekend and casually putting it back to stock Varioram status casually over the following few weeks

For a long time, our garage was a 993 (cab) and 914...that morphed a bit over time, but the 914 has stayed in the family
