Default 94410514901 breather hose NLA

This is the hose that goes from the fitting on the timing belt covers to the air filter housing. Mine is split and the part is not available it seems. I could put plugs on the two ends... what are other people doing?

The "official" part number for the two breather caps is 944-106-103-03.

You will also need two hose clamps (1-1/4" IIRC).

Cap off of some brands of spray-can brake cleaner or liquid wrench fits those ports perfectly.

So part number 944-106-103-03 ($10.25 from Pelican X 2, one for the belt cover and one for the air filter housing. And that's about $25 Cdn). I have a better idea for about $4. Pictures and details to come.

I bought a pack of those rubber walker/cane replacement tips from Walmart to cap off. Think they came in a four pack. 1 1/8" I.D. Wedge fit tight and didn't need clamps. Looks surprisingly good.

I think mine is split open as well, I recall some hose being like that while doing the timing belt a couple months ago.

I've heard that Porsche sometimes restocks old parts that are NLA, they'll run some and put them back into stock.
They're on twitter... and are quite good at responding to messages. Maybe it's time to start asking them about NLA parts.

That's another idea... I used plastic plumbing plugs, 1" O.D. for the air filter housing (cut it down and had to file to reduce the circumference) and 3/4" O.D. for the belt cover.

I'll glue the one into the air filter housing. For the belt cover, because it is split, I'll just glue one side.
