I think the colest tires were the ones that the had a long time agian, that had little spikes for the winter... They soonoutlawed these because they were ruining the roads, but i always thought it would be cool to have spiked tires.

Yeah, studded tires are great for snow and ice. But as noted, most places in the US banned them years ago due to tearing up the pavement but I think they are still legal in a couple places. They make a hell of a racket on dry pavement, though, so I think it would be pretty tough to run them in illegal areas and not get caught.
Use narrow tires and chains though you will probably need a new amplifier to hear the radio.
