Oh, and mine didn't have a new clutch.
Here is the only pic from the advert. You can tell he loves his turbo more, as he keeps it covered and he's not selling it!

The ad I read said it's a 2.5. It's explained in the fine print at the bottom. Don't know what that picture is from, maybe before the engine was replaced, or I read the wrong ad.

Thanks guys!

Looking for a clean S2 coupe (not convertible) - not picky with regard to color. The lower mileage, the better. But I am looking for one to drive, not to keep in a showroom.

Definitely appreciate the tips - keep ‘em coming, thank you!!!

Well, to each his own as I say After reading the many trials and tribulations of folks who track the turbos (with all their exotic plumbing), I went with the S2, but if I'd found a white '89 turbo S for a reasonable price I might have changed my religion...

That car, at least from the outside, looks a lot like mine but I have the cup wheels. Other than that you'd probably find me trying to use my key on it if they were parked in the same lot.

I may know of one in Ohio. Let me get the details. I do know it’s black and a 1990.

sorry to offend you so bad with my 18,000 asking price. the first thing I did ask you was what is your budget. You avoided my question amd then aftrr i told you it is a 1991S2 that I brought from Japan with no sunroof and the most awsome porsche script seats left hand you started by accusing me of rippingy you off then saying im full of bs im a fool and im ****ed up.
I really dont think the car is that far off price to get in my face like that. it also has MO30 and limited slip by the way

So GoKart, what IS your budget? We've put up a lot of 'strong' priced cars reflective of the current market. Nobody in this forum expects "clean ones" for under $10g, do you? If so you are probably going to be disappointed. Depending on miles, autosea does not seem to be too far off the cars listed above.

Good clean S2's don't pop up cheaply a lot. I've got a decent one, but its not low mileage and certainly is not perfect, i still wouldn't sell it for less than 10 i think, even with its imperfections and such.

I might be selling mine but I need to get the seats installed first and would be at the other end of spectrum as it has like 32k miles. A few pics below.

You know as well as I do that if I say “my budget is $20k” then every S2 offered to me will be $20k asking. I’ve played this game before.

I will pay an appropriate price for the specific car concerned. I am looking for a clean driver - I would prefer something on the nicer, lower mileage end, and I expect to pay more for that car.

I’m not looking for a beater or a heavily modified car that has been driven hard. I’m more interested in the semi-cream puff, mostly-stock cars. I’m willing to pay more for a better car, and less for a car that’s not as good.

I know what the market looks like. I have been in the “old German car” game for decades now. I didn’t ask what they’re worth or what they’re selling for - I asked if there are any clean ones out there.

autosea believes his car is worth more than it is. Poor guy.
