Fuel Filler Neck To Body Boot replacement
Hi, this morning I went to put gas in my car (83 944) and when I open the filler door the fuel filler protection flap drop to the ground. Oh well, it's done but so is the fuel filler neck to body boot is done also. Usually I would open it up and figure out what parts are needed, but I'm short on time and hating pulling back a 35 year old carpet . Other than those two parts is there anything else I need?

Depends how deep you want to go, I will say it’s not the easiest job. You won’t get any further back there replacing all of the lines unless you drop the trans and tank though. So grab the grommet from porsche and fix this, it’s a vital seal.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not going to be able to tackle that repair until I move. The boot is still providing a body seal. It's just not holding the metal ring for the flap. So I'm not too concern about it. I'll just have a rag handy so the gas nozzle won't rest on the quarter.
