Default front disc freeplay

should the brake disc has any side to side movement at all? I jack up the car, took off the wheel and there is some small freeplay. Did I have a loose bearing? I have taken out the cap and tighten the lock collar already...

Without the wheel installed to hold the brake disk in place, you will likely have freeplay.
