Well, I just got off the phone with Andy (Eurospec 944)... From his descriptions to me of what the car looks like, and with the 944 market being where it is right now it seems that the insurance company will most certainly total it out... which is a mixed blessing... Andy did love that car, but with it having sustained the damage that it did, even if they wanted to fix it, it would probably never be the same again...

The good news is that Andy is ok... and he will once again be in a search for a 944NA!!! (I think he should buy my S, but thats beside the point)

Peckster as for you coming on here straight off the bat and acting like an ***... WTF man??? Andy just went through a terrible accident and you come on here spouting technicalities??? Show some tact man... Don't act like an as*hole... especially when it concerns my friends....

Cheers,
Jonas

Wow... Let's not throw additional mud around and make anyone upset further -- that not going to help Andy in any way. It's also disrespectful of the deceased 944.

Cheers

Oh no! Sorry to hear about this, man. Glad to hear that you and your passengers are okay, that's the most important thing.

Good luck on your search and with the insurance company....

First off, Jonas, Andy is fine, and I expressed regret about the accident in my first e-mail. If that's what you call a terrible accident, I don't know.

What concerns me is that apparently some people think they have the right of way when making a u-turn from the far right of the road, and that ain't the case.

That's a safety issue. What if there had been somebody with some young kids in their car.

I'd go into it in more detail, but I don't want to get you even more riled. I'm out of here.

Good plan, next time, why don't you start your own thread expressing your feelings rather than doing it in one of these threads... I am not trying to **** you off to much, but id be willing to bet that the last thing Andy wanted to hear was semantics about how you thought it was his fault... (even though it clearly wasn't)...

as i sit here at work i can't help but think that after all this time and money and heart i put into this car was suddenly put to an end last night..it's such a painful thought to think about. There will never be another one as clean as that one...never..

It's really heartbreaking and brings tears to my eyes to even think about how much I love that car and how Im going to miss it...

rest in peace 944...

Smile RE: NA for sale

I'm a little further away, in Las Vegas, and my miles are a bit higher at 192,000. But my '88 is in good shape and I'm looking at selling and picking up a motorcycle.

Email me at gordyboy@hotmail.com if you want pics or more details.

Sorry about your collison Andy but am very happy to hear you're OK . It's amazing how attached we get to these "hunks of metal".

Take some time and you'll find another car. Might be the perfect time for a 951

I have found a car in the trader that appears to be worth the drive. It looks pretty nice, but I don't understand the AC change over, is that the conversion to R134 or whatever the number is?
