I try to get there once a year. One of my favorite clubs is the Sky bar at the Palms. It's outside on the roof, excellent view. Drinks are priced very well for a club in Vegas.

Next to the MGM is a condo called the Polo Towers (I think) there is a bar (no cover) on the top floor that is a half circle that hangs out from the building itself. The view of the strip and the Balagio fountain is spectacular.

They have gambling there, don't they? Avoid Celine Dion's show at all costs.

Haha, no worries, just poking fun.

My mom wasn't too thrilled about the weather around New Year's either. It was actually warmer in Chicago!

Well most of us who live in Vegas don't actually go down to the strip very often, and having a wife and 2 young kids doesn't really ficilitate me getting out to the clubs etc. I would suggest that you spend one evening at Fremont Street. That's the old downtown part of Vegas and it's quite different from the new part.

If you want to get away from the casinos, a really great place that's not far away is Red Rock Canyon. If you do a search you'll find lots of info, here's one link...

http://www.sunsetcities.com/redrock.html

Hoover dam isn't to far away.

There's so much to do around here it really depends on what sort of thing you're looking for, if you're young and single, old and married, the outdoors type, etc..

Just do a search for "things to do in las vegas" and you'll be overwhelmed with info.

Thanks for the help guys. I had a great time made enough at the tables to pay for my food and fun. I got so many girls # they were just handing them out on the street with pictuers of them. But had a blast the big shot on top on the stratosphere and tring to win a z4.

Back to the real world now.
