This Question Again...GO TO SUNSET AND ASK FOR JEFF....TELL HIM DAMIAN SENT YOU....

And you will get a better price then used, been there done that leg work to find the best prices..DOor Handle parts without locks which are not needed to switch, less than 200$ and Mirror kit for about 400$

Damian is right. Sunset has the best deal. I'm going to get them this Spring.

Rich, what's a 'bash'?

What's the best place to get the non-power (968CS) version? Sunset? Anyone know the price on those? 944racing had them, but they used the 944 bases and they stated in an email that they didn't work very well with that combo and were discontinuing them.

Does anyone know if the 968 handles have an improved MECHANISM for opening the door - or is the difference purely cosmetic?

My driver's side outer door handle has completely failed, as have the power windows - meaning I must enter the car from the passenger side, open the door, then walk around to the driver's side. LOL - there's got to be a better way...

DEFINITELY go to Jeff at Sunset. I got mine last summer for less than $200 and put them in myself (can you tell I'm proud? ) They do have a different mechanism. The only thing you keep from the old handle is the lock tumbler. Everything else is new. I replaced mine b/c the driver's door quit opening. It was probably a $25 fix, but I figured it was the perfect time to upgrade. I do NOT regret it.

Thanks Michelle. It looks like 968 door handles are going on the parts list.
