Giant strake-less Testarossa intakes that lead to...what? Not a fan.

Yeah, I hate to be a hater, but that's pretty rough. It can't decide whether it wants to be a Corvette, a Lotus, a Ferrari, a Datsun, or a 944, that's quite the mish mash. The best thing that 944 has going for it is the wheels. If I didn't love 944s so much, I'd say poke a whole in the jumper line, start her up, walk away, haha.

Its like a Ferrari that never made it to production had a child with an Opel (the grandfather was a corvette) and the child was delivered by Mark Hammel In the movie corvette summer....

Hate if you want, but I'm cool with it!
The design has elements of lots of different cars as mentioned, but it is cohesive. The cutouts share complementary lines, the rear panel is so 512BB and pretty well executed.
It doesn't look to me like a kit car that was tacked together. If they had kept pop-up headlights I would go as far as to say I'm digging it!
Take the 944 bias out of the equation, let it stand on its own and its a sure-fire award winner at the next RadWood!

If anything it’s an insight to what was in the mindset of designers back in the day. Let’s face it, the 944 design has stood up well over the years, but in the 80’s I’m sure they thought differently and the Imola was someone’s idea of an “improved” design. It’s certainly a curiosity and I’m sure someone will love it enough to buy it.

Surprised nobody mentioned the Firebird look of the headlights/nose area. I'm sure it made someone happy at some point but not me. If it's metal I'm impressed. Fiberglass to steel will eventually crack at the bond lines

The tilt-shift lens, or whatever bad editing they did to simulate it, is giving me a headache. I don't know why some people think that is a good way to shoot cars.
