Default 944's in the Maryland, Virginia, DC (DMV)

Hello,

Are their any 944 clubs in the DMV, 944 guys do any meets? This might sound silly but after getting mine to run I'd like to see some cars that are in proper working order, but after reading this board does anyone have a car thats running right let me know.

I'm sure that there are plenty of well running cars in the area. Potomac Region PCA would be a good source of Porsche related activities. Many people hang out here to help others with their questions, as at one time or another almost everyone has experienced some issue that kept their car from its full running order.

I'm 25 miles west of Frederick Maryland near Harper's Ferry W.VA and the Antietam Battlefield Park. Some nice driving roads are near by if you want to meet up here on Elk Ridge and talk cars. I have a very original 25,xxx mile 84 and a pretty nice well sorted 89 S2 to talk about.

I'm in VA and my car is in running order. She's also about to turn 190k so she's not a garage queen either.

I don't do a lot of runs/get togethers, tho, aside from wrenching parties that I usually host for other people.

I'm planning on doing wires plugs cap and rotor this weekend but would love to drive up to Fredrick and Virgina grab a cup of coffee ask advice see a good 944 is all about. That would be awesome. I come form a BMW background and this ain't no BMW :-)

Benny, In late summer you're going to have a 944 Fest not far from you ( Summit Point). You can have track time, or just hag with the boys. Check 944fest.com. The details are being developed yet. Every type of 944 will be there for your enjoyment.

I'm in the Richmond, VA area, but my 944 is sitting right now. One day when I get her back on the road me and the wife would love a 944 get together, but if yall do something soon, I'd have to cheat and drive the 955. I have big restoration plans for my 944 so it could be a few years more before she's roadworthy again.

Forgot to mention, I can host a gathering and I’ve got plenty of parking and a 30X60 shop with two lifts.

Ooo. I didn't realize it was at Summit Point this year. I'll definitely have to go. I had a blast at 944Fest at VIR a few years back.

Looks like thier are some really awesome stuff going on I'm really motivated to get mine back to it's former glory. I'm thinking of filming the 944 and maybe setting up a YouTube page kinda to track my progress, again my cars a basket case. Mike is your place in Spotsylvania VA a shop? Nice race car BTW!
