Cheap Porsches. Lets see 'em. Its okay to post photos of a car, based on an educated guess as to it's value.... topping at 10 grand u.s.d.

Not sure where you are headed with this but the 928 is by far the coolest Porsche I know of that can be had for less than ten grand (which will be followed by another ten grand in catch up maintenance). Yes, that is my car (the white one)!

I think you need to look for 924s, and you're going to need a little luck. I think 944s are about $15K cars now - you'll either spend that much buying one, or the remainder to fix the one you bought. S and S2 models go for a little more, Turbos for more than that.

I hear you. I bought my 944 8 years ago and have more than that in it (maybe 16000 us). But there are still some gems amongst the rocks. For example, in the Southeastern United States a guy is wanting to sell his 944 for like half that. Engine bay looks nice. Yes, in my area there are not too many advertised and I've seen prices rise.
C'mon, back on track, lets see the cool cheap ones

probably detailing. If he actually painted it I would hope he would use the green tape but given the decal on the fender I can't imagine putting one on right after a paint job at home.. Maybe after being baked at a body shop.

I can give an educated guess on this one, given that I will be selling it when I am done. So I'd say it will be in the range once the head gasket job is finished up (waiting on injectors and a new coolant expansion tank).

Ian, are you saying you will only get 10g for that beautiful 87/88 Turbo? I'd think more unless it has gobs of miles. A tip for you, the buyer certainly won't want that non-stock steering wheel, I'll swap you out for a stock one no charge!

Dan,
The steering wheel going on the shelf certainly has crossed my mind, but I feel it works well with the door handles and mirrors so it will probably sell with the car.
As to the price, this is a difficult car to peg. Great color, tons of recent work from a mileage perspective, but it has 200k on the odo and a few cosmetic issues that need to be addressed. I just know I am not going to keep it, I have a sun roof delete 86 that is my keeper, so I'll price it to sell once I have it back up and running.

I would agree with Harvey. This automatic was easily the best deal I've ever come across. Purchased for $2750 Cdn and immediately put into service it's also the best example of buyer-remorse after parting with it due to a lack of space.
Frankly, many Pcars purchased in Canada would easily fit the bill.
