Had the pleasure of seeing John Dixon's example in Dayton OH a few years back. Mr. Dixson had an unbelievable collection of cars, but there is something absolutely unique about a factory built car with such specific intentions.

Doesn’t get any better. I now want a black coolant tank in all my cars. I wonder what part# is on that thing.

That may be only exceeded by the 924GTR that was for sale in Houston a while back.

One spotted at the Porsche Experience in LA a couple of years ago. Oh the car next to it wasn’t bad either!

There won’t be a PET but there will be a parts list with part numbers. I have the parts list paperwork for the Turbo Cup cars that’s how I know.

Do you have the part number for the manual rack for the Turbo Cup cars? I had someone telling me they had one to sell and it would be nice to confirm it’s the correct one.

I do, the one used on the Turbo Cup cars was 944-347-011-02.

Iirc it has a quicker ratio than 944-347-011-00 which was fitted to some early 944na’s, however the quick ratio -02 may also have been offered as a “sports” version on those early na’s, I’ve heard of a few folk who have them.

Thanks. The one I have is a 944 347 15 00 which doesn’t appear in your document or the PET, yet nonetheless appears to be fairly common based on going through threads here and on Pelican.

I believe 944-347-015-00 was also a “sports” rack, probably one designed for motorsport on the earlier 1982-85 cars and either offered as an option or simply fitted as part of normal production.

What option codes are on your car?
