Default Cleaning "Porsche" insert cloth seats

Does anyone have any tips or magic on keeping or cleaning the "Porsche" script insert seats.I have had these style seats in 3 of the 4 944's(1-tan,1-maroon,and current black) that I have owned and they all seem to acquire spots and stains rather easily.I have found that water alone leaves spots.Has anyone else noticed this and what do they clean or protect these style seats with?I personally like these seats better than the all leather units(both in looks and comfort).

What I wonder is - if you re-upholster the seats, can the cloth inserts be re-used? If you disassembled the seat, could you cut out the cloth inserts and (gasp!) put them in a washing machine to clean them?

Wurth Upholstery Cleaner and a soft brush gently but effectively cleans all manner of upholstery and carpet I've tried it on.

Are these style seats more rare than the leather style seats? Is this included with a sport option or something?
